Annual Athletic Meet 2023-2024

NPS Koramangala’s Annual Sports Meet was conducted on 18th December 2023 on the sprawling grounds of TISB. The air buzzed with anticipation as students geared up to compete. Through an amalgamation of athletic races and games like basketball, football, badminton, chess, carrom, table tennis, throwball, volleyball, and cricket which were conducted throughout the year in the school, the four Houses aimed to win the coveted overall sports cup. The day started with the semi-final 100 m, 200 m, and 400 m races of boys and girls in the 3 categories- Intermediate A, Intermediate B, and Seniors. This was followed by a mascot run, where the Houses went all out to showcase their enthusiasm and support: the Challengers with beloved Santa Claus followed by Explorers with a purple minion. The Pioneers gave a compelling message with a phoenix display and the Voyagers ended the mascot run majestically with Poseidon.

The final races kicked off followed by all 4 Houses cheering on their contestants. The last race of the day was the 4 X 100 metre relay, testing not only individual skills but also team spirit. As a recreation, this was followed by a game of tug-of-war between the Houses for a light-hearted ending to the day, but a great deal of points. The prize distribution ceremony commenced with the announcement of awards for races and individual championship trophies. Consistent support, creative chants, and décor got Challengers awarded the much-deserved trophy for the Best Cheering Team. It was then time for the most anticipated part of the day, the announcement of the overall champion. The third place went to the Challengers who lost to the Pioneers at the second place by only a 9-point margin. For the third time in a row and by a margin of 184 points, the Voyagers once again won the overall championship cup.
