National Public School, Koramangala ushered in the festive spirit
of the Christmas season by celebrating the festival for its primary
grades on Monday, 12th December, 2011.
The students were treated to melodious carols sung by an invited
group of musicians from the Bangalore Conservatory. The director,
Mr Ken Henson sang tuneful and symphonic carols along with an entire
crew of almost 30-35 members for the students of NPS, KRM. They
also had a bell choir which performed various popular jingles for
the animated audience. The students were absolutely delighted to
be a part of this musical experience.
In continuation with the celebratory spirit, the weekly assembly
was based on “Christmas”. The students enacted a skit
emphasizing that Christmas is not only about cakes, stockings and
Santa but also teaches us the joy of sharing and caring. The assembly
included facts about the festival, meaning of the word Christmas
and thoughts to ponder, quiz, dance and many more events. The students
looked enchanting, dressed in bright shades of red sporting the
Santa cap. A huge Christmas tree adorned the lawns of the school
to remind the students of this lovely festival.
All in all, it was a Christmas which the students will remember
for a long time to come.
“I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to
keep it all the year.”
