World Environment Day 2016

'World Environment Day' that was celebrated recently by the students of National Public School, Koramangala, adhered to the International theme "Go Wild For Life".

The deep, thoughtful message was conveyed through a mesmerizing mime and a mellifluous song. The students of the school have been actively participating in various environment related programmes and reaching out to the needy in their own way.

The green initiative taken up by the school during the past academic year was highlighted through a presentation followed by a powerful pledge to take this mission forward for a better tomorrow for the entire planet.

A New Sunshine

"Be the change you want to see", this quote was put into action in the neighbourhood of NGV, Koramangala on 10th June 2016.

The senior school students of National Public School, Koramangala along with the residents of National Games Village and the popular organisation 'the Ugly Indian' took the onus on themselves to restore the fading beauty of the locality due to garbage dump.

The drive began by cleaning the school wall off the posters and advertisements that had encroached slowly over the past few months. The active residents and members from TUI then removed every piece of trash piled up on the opposite side of the NGV gate. A stencil was then marked on the walls with intricate patterns, to aid the volunteers to paint. The enthusiastic and energetic participants vividly painted picturesque graffiti in a short time.

The 'NPS School Wall Rescue' was a resounding success where each kid and the teachers involved in this cleansing drive did their bit for the environment.
