Pranjal Srivastava (Class of 2022)

Pranjal’s historical, enormously exceptional, and sustained trailblazing achievements year after year have done India, his alma mater, and his parents extremely proud.

Pranjal created history by winning his 3rd Gold at the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) 2022, conducted in
Norway.

Pranjal bagged his 2nd Gold at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2021 held in St Petersburg, Russia.

In 2021, Pranjal achieved the rare feat of representing the country and winning medals, in the same year, in the two largest Olympiads - IMO 2021 and IOI 2021 (The International Olympiad in Informatics). Pranjal won a bronze medal in IOI 2021.

In 2021, Pranjal set a national record by scoring full marks (200/ 200) at the national level (Indian Olympiad in Informatics, INOI).

Pranjal became the only Indian to represent India at the 16th KPMC (Korea Prime Minister Cup), a famous Go tournament in 2021.

In 2019 Pranjal in emerged as the youngest Indian ever to win Gold at the International Mathematics Olympiad 2019 in the UK. His medal successfully ended a seven-year drought of gold for India. Pranjal also won Gold in APMO 2019 (Asia and Pacific Math Olympiad). He is one of the top 10 in India who has been recognized by APIO 2019.

In 2018-19, Pranjal, (in Grade 9 then) created history when he bagged the Silver medal and became the youngest Indian ever to win a medal at International Mathematics Olympiad held in Romania and the youngest gold or silver medal winner across all the countries at IMO 2018. He was also part of the felicitation function hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during which he participated in an interactive session with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Pranjal topped STEMS, the prestigious nationwide contest in Maths, Physics, and Computer Science conducted by Chennai Mathematical Institute in January 2019.

In 2019, Pranjal participated in the Pradhan Mantri Innovative Learning Programme – “DHRUV’ along with sixty gifted students from the field of science and liberal arts across India, under the mentorship of IIT Delhi professors.
