Handing Over Ceremony


The Handing Over Ceremony, that signifies passing of the baton of responsibilities from the outgoing batch of Grade 12 to the Grade 11 leaders, was celebrated on 5th February 2022. Having coincided with the day of Basant Panchami, the students of Grades 8 and 9 rendered a beautiful invocation song - Namo Sarada, dedicated to the goddess Saraswati. Vice-chairperson Dr. Bindu Hari, in her address exhorted Grade 11 to perpetuate the NPS culture and live up to the legacy of excellence. Dr. Bindu also congratulated the students for making the major online events like AHAN (triennial cultural Fest), IRIS (Multidimensional Interschool Fest hosted by Grade 11) and Udyama (Grade 6 Entrepreneurial Program) a remarkable success. Later, the Grade 12 badge holders handed over the House flags to their Grade 11 successors, which is symbolic of bestowing the responsibilities. The school prefect, Aditya Raj reflected on the year that went by. He expressed gratification and gratitude at being able to achieve all the set goals with the support of management, faculty, and fellow students. In her speech, Principal Ms. Jyotsna Nair drew parallels from the lives of Michael Jordan and Henry Ford to motivate the students.

Melodious rendition of “The Climb” Miley Cyrus by 6-9 graders regaled the audience. The Kathak and Odissi fusion dance by Grade 11 students was nothing short of a treat to the eyes. Then, the most awaited announcements were made by the principal. The Best Outgoing Student award was bestowed to Anupama Bagade, a true all-rounder, and a perfectionist. Pranjal Srivastava was named the Most Valuable Student of the year for all his exceptional achievements in mathematics that brought unprecedented glory and laurels to the school as well as to the nation. The school vice prefect, Ankita Anand drew the curtain on the ceremony with the Vote of Thanks where she aptly said, “NPS Koramangala is not a place, it’s a people.
