School Prefect Elections 2022-23

With the commencement of an exhilarating new academic year 2022-23, the stirring speculations about the new student council flew across the NPS KRM campus. It tapered a wee bit with the election and declaration of the most coveted council position: the School Prefect. The day was 27th May 2022 when all the eyes were on the three brilliant all girl nominees for the position: Ankita Anand, Anvita Verma and Nishtha Ladi.

The election, the procedure may have been a routine, not the rhetoric. Each canvassing speech, sparkling with the innate character and the distinctive charisma of each candidate left a lasting impression on the audience. While Ankita Anand assured streamlining the process of participation in interschool competitions and fests, Anvita emphasised on creating a homework helper to give a heads up to her peers on pending assignments and upcoming assessments. Nishtha suggested creation of teams for each club at the earliest which will enable its smooth functioning. All students of Grade 12 and the faculty, though predisposed to be wooed, found it hard to select the winner. However, the voters signed against their name, inked their finger and casted their vote electronically. Then came the most awaited moment- announcement of results by the Principal Ms. Jyotsna Nair. Ankita Anand won the election and was designated the School Prefect for the academic year 2022-23. And with this ended the first phase of student council elections.
