Communal Harmony Day and Constitution Day 2024-2025

In the week of November 25th to 29th, NPS KRM celebrated Communal Harmony Day and Constitution Day, two important occasions that highlight the values of equality and brotherhood. The week began with an engaging PowerPoint presentation that introduced students to the history and significance of these days. Sadbhavana Diwas, or Communal Harmony Day, is celebrated on August 20 each year to honour the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is observed on November 26 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On this day, we celebrate being good citizens and learn how to care for each other and our country.

As the presentation continued, students were captivated by stories that illustrated the importance of tolerance and understanding. They also learned about B.R. Ambedkar, who is known as the Father of the Indian Constitution.

To make the week even more special, various interactive activities were organized. Students participated in group discussions, sharing their ideas on how to create a more harmonious society. They also created colourful posters celebrating diversity, showcasing their artistic skills while reinforcing the message of unity.

Through these activities, the school not only honoured the significance of Communal Harmony Day and Constitution Day but also taught students the importance of being ambassadors of peace and goodwill. Together, they learned that every small act of kindness contributes to a larger sense of unity, helping to make the world a better place for everyone.
