Investiture Ceremony 2026-2027
The Investiture Ceremony 2026–27, held on 18 June 2026 at NPS Koramangala, marked a significant milestone in the school calendar as young leaders formally assumed their roles and responsibilities. The occasion celebrated not only achievement but also the values of service, integrity, and commitment that define exemplary leadership.
The ceremony was graced by the Guest of Honour, Mrs. Sumitra Nithin, Director of Natyasruti, a renowned institution for Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music, in the esteemed presence of Principal Ms. Jyotsna Nair and the Vice Principals. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a soulful prayer rendered by students of Grades 6–12.
Mrs. Sumitra Nithin, an acclaimed national and international artiste and the proud parent of two distinguished NPS Koramangala alumni- Vikram Nitin and Abhiram Nitin- delivered an inspiring address. Drawing upon experiences from her own life, she spoke about the importance of empathy, creativity, resilience, and social harmony in leadership. Encouraging students to adopt a growth mindset, she also cautioned them against the distractions and pitfalls of social media.
The auditorium, charged with anticipation and excitement, erupted in applause as the names of the newly elected Student Council for 2026–27 were announced. Eighty-six deserving students received their prestigious golden badges from the Guest of Honour, the Principal Ms. Jyotsna Nair, and the Vice Principal Ms. Suhita Nandy. Adding a unique touch to the ceremony, Ms. Nandy celebrated the new leaders through a thoughtful poem, highlighting that leadership is not merely a position of authority but a commitment to uplifting others while growing in character and purpose.
The cultural segment added vibrancy to the occasion. Students of Grades 7 and 8 presented a spirited dance performance dedicated to Lord Ganesha and his vahana, Mushaka, while students of Grades 6–9 delivered a stirring rendition of Rachel Platten's Fight Song, a globally recognised anthem of resilience and self-belief.
The ceremonial handover of the School Flag, the Sports Flag and the House flags by the Principal symbolised the transfer of responsibility, honour, and legacy to the newly elected leaders.
On behalf of the Student Council, the newly elected School Prefect, Prachi Nagar, administered the oath of office and pledged to uphold the values of the school with sincerity, dedication, and teamwork. In her maiden address, she expressed gratitude for the nurturing environment provided by the school and promised to foster unity and meaningful student engagement.
The presence of alumni added a special warmth to the celebrations, reinforcing the enduring bond shared by generations of NPS Koramangala students. The ceremony was followed by friendly matches between the senior students and alumni, bringing the memorable occasion to a joyful close.
