Investiture and Prize Day 2023-24
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
The new Student Council of NPS Koramangala took their first step, officially, towards realising their dreams, as well as the aspirations of their fellow students who look up to them with adulation and respect.
On 28th June 2023, Investiture and Prize Day, the school buzzed with anticipation and exhilaration. The esteemed guests of the day Ms. Radhika Sethumadhavan, alumna, Class of 2006 and founder of ‘Soul of Music’, and Vice Chairperson, NAFL, TISB, and NPS Group of Schools, Dr. Bindu Hari, accompanied by the Principal Ms. Jyotsna Nair, graced the occasion.
The programme began with the symphonious rendition of the Sharadha Bhujanga, in praise of the Goddess of Learning, set to the melodious beats of mridangam, tabla, and the notes of the violin. While reminiscing about the golden days spent in her alma mater, Ms. Radhika counselled the students and the alumni present in large numbers, to discover their true calling and devote their life to it. She also regaled the audience with the crooning of popular numbers. While the high achievers in Grade 12 and10 Board Examinations of March 2023were felicitated for their stellar performances by Ms. Radhika, the newly minted 72-member strong Student Council 2023-24 were invested with power and authority by the Vice- Chairperson and the Principal. Dr. Bindu Hari, in her address, inspired Gen Z to dream big and contribute to making India the No. 1 economy in the world.
Taking forward the revered legacy of the institution, the school flag, sports flag, and the flags for the four Houses were officially handed over to the proud, new student leaders. On behalf of her team, the School Prefect, Adrija Thakur took the pledge to work collaboratively to create a harmonious and inclusive environment that promotes, learning, growth and well- being. The English song ‘Never Enough’ by the students of Grades 5-11 and a semi-classical dance by the students of Grade 8 were greatly admired. The presence of alumni added a charming warmth to the whole occasion and as per tradition, they presented their alma mater a token of their gratitude.
